Fighting Your Fear of Economics: Using Econ to Teach U.S. History

The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City, Oklahoma City Branch and the Oklahoma Council on Economic Education invite you to a one-day workshop that will provide economic and personal finance lessons and resources to integrate into social studies and history curricula. Each session will be aligned to Oklahoma social studies, economics or personal finance standards.

Economics has had a significant impact on U.S. history. This workshop will help teachers better understand how to use economic concepts to teach U.S. history, including a case study from the Great Depression and examples from the Great Recession.

Attend the workshop in Oklahoma City on June 15 or Tulsa on June 16.

All participants will be provided with:

  • Curriculum and resources
  • Breakfast, lunch and snacks
  • Free parking
  • Five professional development hours
