A Simple Mission:

Economic Education + Financial Literacy

OCEE offers teachers economics and personal finance content along with creative ways to teach it effectively.

We accomplish our mission by training K-12 teachers how to incorporate principles of economics and personal finance into the classroom curriculum.

The Oklahoma Council on Economic Education (OCEE) is a 501(c)3, promoting economic education and financial literacy in Oklahoma. Established in 1954, OCEE is affiliated with the Council for Economic Education – a national network of state councils and university-based centers. The Oklahoma Council on Economic Education is a sector of the College of Business at the University of Central Oklahoma.

Economic education is real life, because all young people will grow up and become part of the marketplace. OCEE provides resources and training to teachers in both public and independent schools in Oklahoma. Our principle is that through training teachers, the multiplier effect is achieved. Each school year, the training a teacher receives through OCEE will impact new children.
